Miro Footbridge in Strasbourg

The Miro footbridge was designed in 2008 by the architectural firm Dietmar Feichtinger Architectes. An emblematic place in the city of Strasbourg, France, it allows access between Rivétoile to the Malraux media library. The walkway is dedicated to pedestrians, cyclists and people with reduced mobility. In 2020, 340m² of Bamboo X-treme® Decking was installed to replace the only 12-year-old wood decking.

Quick and detailed installation with MOSO® by Grad

Bamboo X-treme® Decking has been installed on the Grad installation system, which allows for quick and detailed installation. The decking boards have a non-slip strip in the middle providing maximum safety against slipperiness. The project requirements were extreme: both the deck and the installation system needed to withstand heavy traffic with occasional visits from a mobile maintenance vehicle to keep the deck clean. It also needed to be structurally flawless, allowing for combined access by different users and to be a stable and ecological material. The MOSO® Bamboo X-treme® by Grad solution met all the project requirements.
